Fur is a quarterly publication edited by Fabio Kawallis and Cassia Tabatini bringing together visual works by international contributors from a range of artistic disciplines. Drawing on a low-fi, tropical, DYI-punk aesthetics, fur is presented both as a website http://www.fur.uk.com and a publication, sometimes taking the form of live events and exhibitions. Strongly influenced by the avant-garde legacies of Dada and Surrealism, each issue of fur is organised around – often absurd, obscure - themes, much like the late 20s journal Documents, masterminded by Georges Bataille. Past themes were “Black & White”, “Blood and Jeans” and “Hair”. Forthcoming themes include “Texture” and “Water”.The night will see the launch of the 4th issue of fur online, TEXTURE.

Friends collaborating with Fur include Cibelle Cavalli Pipa Melissa Durate Guilherme Altmayer Rodrigo Dutra Lau Neves Klaus Schmidt Maria Eisl Esther Planas Djs of the night Klaus Juergen Schmidt and Emma

Past exhibitions have included the work of Deborah Castillo, Gregorio Magnani, Butt Magazine, Federico Herrero, Terence Koh, i-Cabin, Steven Gontarski, Pixis Fanzine/PrincessJulia and Hanah, General Idea and avaf, Basso Magazin, Carl Hopgood, Giles Round, Tim Noble and Sue Webster, Superm (Brian Kenny and Slava Mogutin), Elkin Calderon, Wolfgang Tillmans, Calvin Holbrook/Hate Magazine, Husam el Odeh, Simon Popper...
